Investment Intern

Marisa Shalz (she/her) joined Figure 8 in July as an Investment Intern. She is currently studying for the Series 65 exam in anticipation of transitioning into to the role of Associate Advisor in November. As a recent Economics graduate of Colorado State University, Marisa showcases strong enthusiasm for both financial and social justice work. She shares Figure 8’s focus on intentional social & environmental impact and is committed to a career guided by these values.

Growing up Boise, Idaho, she has a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys skiing, rafting, mountain biking, and camping in the beautiful Idaho mountains. She also loves to travel and prior to joining Figure 8, Marisa spent 4 months backpacking around Europe! During her time at CSU, Marisa held multiple leadership roles in her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, and was actively involved in the Economics Department.

Marisa is excited to keep championing social justice in her community and beyond and looks forward to making a positive impact wherever she can.
